My Intention...

Driven by my desire to communicate clearly with people, I make work that highlights the most basic tenants of interpersonal communication. Instead of having one specific narrative or meaning, my projects suggest the possibility of several interpretations of the same exchange. By privileging several meanings, I consider how presupposed knowledge and expectation can both aid and impede clear communication. Other works delete fundamental elements of communication (image, sound, etc.) and depend upon this deletion to emphasize or redefine their meaning.
